The IoD’s September seminar, sponsored by Butterfield, in partnership with the Guernsey branch of the CIPD, will discuss Guernsey's proposed discrimination legislation.
The Committee for Employment & Social Security has released draft proposals for new multi-ground discrimination legislation.
The event will hear from the authors of the draft proposals Deputies Michelle Le Clerc and Emilie Yerby, who will share their vision for the proposed legislation and answer questions from the audience.
The consultation phase will finish on 30th September 2019, and this seminar in partnership with the Guernsey branch of the CIPD will help to inform business leaders of the scope of the proposed legislation.
The seminar will include an updated presentation outlining the proposals and attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions of the Deputies.
The recently released framework requires a detailed review and consultation, and the IoD is working closely with other business groups to fully understand the impact these proposals may have.
The lunch will commence at 12noon with a light buffet in the Dorey Room at St James in Guernsey with the event concluding at 1.45pm.
Registration for this event is essential.
