The Institute of Directors (IoD) Guernsey has announced a landmark Conference bringing together some of the most influential business leaders, policymakers, regulators and investors to address one of the defining challenges of our time: unlocking sustainable economic growth in an era of rapid transformation.
Taking place on 18th November 2026, The IOD Conference, which is titled “Unlocking Economic Growth: Guernsey’s Competitive Future”, will serve as a crucial forum for boards, politicians and government officials, C-suite executives, regulatory authorities, decision-makers and emerging leaders to explore innovative approaches to driving economic expansion while navigating geopolitical uncertainty, technological disruption and evolving regulatory landscapes.
The IOD Conference will be the culmination of a series of targeted workshops, surveys, and stakeholder engagement during Q2 & Q3 2026, which will produce an Economic Growth Action Plan, with recommendations for government, regulators and industries to drive sustainable economic growth.
As economies worldwide grapple with inflationary pressures, shifting trade dynamics and the imperative of digital transformation, this gathering represents a unique opportunity for cross-sector collaboration and strategic insight-sharing at the highest levels.
“Economic growth today requires more than traditional approaches; it demands visionary leadership, regulatory agility and collaborative ecosystems that span borders and sectors,” said Glen Tonks, Chair of IoD Guernsey. “This conference will bring together the architects of tomorrow’s economy to share perspectives, challenge assumptions and forge the partnerships that will drive prosperity.”
The programme will explore critical dimensions of economic growth through expert-led sessions and interactive discussions. Beyond thought leadership, the conference will focus on practical, implementable strategies that attendees can apply within their organisations and spheres of influence.
Interactive panel discussions and networking sessions will facilitate knowledge exchange and relationship-building among peers facing similar strategic challenges across different markets and sectors.
Full conference details, including the speaker lineup, session schedule and registration information, will be released in the coming weeks.
Business leaders, policymakers, regulators and investors interested in attending are encouraged to register their interest by emailing [email protected].
