The Institute of Directors Guernsey Branch appoints a new Vice Chair

The Institute of Directors Guernsey Branch (IoD) has appointed Wendy Dorey as Vice Chair with immediate effect.

Stretch Kontelj, who held the position for the last two years, has now left the island to return to his family in Australia.

IoD Guernsey Chair, John Clacy said: “We would like to thank Stretch for his contribution to the Committee and I am delighted Wendy has agreed to take on the position.  I am looking forward to working with her as we continue to support our members at a time when leadership excellence is so critical.”

Wendy joined the IoD Committee in 2019 and has spent over 20 years in the financial services industry in the UK, France and Guernsey.

She is currently Director of Dorey Financial Modelling, an investment consulting firm, a Commissioner at the Guernsey Financial Services Commission and a non-executive director of Schroders (C.I.) Limited.

Commenting on her appointment Wendy Dorey said: “I am delighted to have the opportunity to take on this role, especially at such a critical time for businesses and the economy.”
