Alexandra Bevis

Alexandra is an Investment Manager at Canaccord Wealth, where she manages multi-asset discretionary portfolios for institutional and private clients, helping them achieve their long-term financial objectives.

After graduating from the University of Warwick with a degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics, Alexandra spent four years at the Guernsey Financial Services Commission. She initially worked in a data-focused role, playing a central part in developing the regulator’s first machine learning tools and presenting her work to senior regulators internationally through the Global Financial Innovation Network. She also developed quantitative models to support the States of Guernsey in determining trade deal priorities post-Brexit. Alexandra later became the lead supervisor for a portfolio of banks and insurers. In this role, she conducted onsite visits, evaluated emerging risks, and designed risk mitigation programmes to bring elevated risks back within acceptable tolerance levels.

At Canaccord Wealth, Alexandra specialises in direct equity investing. In addition to her own client book, Alexandra contributes to the investment strategy for bespoke client relationships and the Canaccord Genuity Dynamic Fund. She is passionate about improving financial literacy and breaking down investment jargon for a wider audience.

Alexandra has passed Level III of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Program and holds the CFA UK Investment Management Certificate (IMC).

Outside of work, Alexandra enjoys coastal rowing, sailing and playing hockey.
