Lauren Blake
Lauren Blake is Group Head of Sales at Island Energy Group, where she leads commercial strategy and customer growth across the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man. With over 13 years’ experience in the energy sector and a degree in Biosciences, she is focused on supporting a secure, resilient and lower-carbon energy future for the islands — ensuring homes and businesses have access to reliable, affordable and practical energy solutions. Lauren works closely with government, regulators and industry partners to align commercial delivery with energy policy, contributing to discussions around long-term energy security, resilience and advocating for pragmatic decarbonisation pathways that balance sustainability, security and cost for island communities.
Previously, Lauren served as Customer Operations Director at Yorkshire Gas and Power, where she led multidisciplinary teams comprising over 80 FTE alongside an outsourced operation in Cape Town, South Africa. During her tenure, the business was recognised as one of Yorkshire’s 50 fastest-growing companies. She is passionate about growth driven by efficiency, strong governance and a customer-first mindset. Throughout her career, she has championed service excellence, improved operational performance and built high-performing teams — consistently pushing for better outcomes for customers while ensuring organisations are resilient, scalable and fit for the future.
Outside of her professional life, Lauren maintains a strong creative interest, regularly attending art classes and exhibiting a painting at the Guernsey Arts Open 2025. In the summer months, she can often be found boating around the islands, making the most of coastal life in Guernsey.
